Shipping Policy

Last updated: September 1st, 2026

How your jerky gets from our facility to you: when it leaves, how long it takes, what it costs, and what happens when something goes sideways.

This page works with our Terms of Service and Return & Refund Policy. If they conflict, the Terms govern.

The short version

  • Orders placed by 3:00 PM PT on a business day ship the same day.
  • Free shipping on orders over $149.
  • Most USA orders arrive in 2–5 business days once shipped.
  • Jerky is shelf-stable. No ice packs, no refrigeration, no expedited shipping required.
  • We ship to all 50 states. We don't ship internationally.

Processing time

We pack orders Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders in by 3:00 PM PT go out the same day; anything later moves to the next one.

Weekend orders ship Monday. A Friday afternoon order is a Monday shipment β€” worth knowing if you're timing something.

During launches, holiday season, and after a big promotion, processing can stretch to 2–3m business days. We post a banner on the site when that's happening rather than letting you find out from silent tracking.

Presales and backorders ship on the date shown on the product page. If that date moves, we'll email you and you can cancel for a full refund.

Rates and methods

We use UPS for shipments, so you will get the UPS rates, and tracking information with you order confirmation.

The free-shipping threshold is calculated on the merchandise subtotal after discounts and before tax.

Exact rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other US territories' ships cost more; expect 5–10 business days.

Transit times are estimates from the carrier, not promises from us. Business days exclude weekends and federal holidays. Once a package is scanned in, its schedule belongs to the carrier.

International shipping

We don’t ship internationally. Dyno Jerky is a product made out of premium beef, so we need to make sure that the consumers get the best jerky product.

How we pack it

Jerky is shelf-stable, so no ice packs and no refrigeration in transit.

Orders ship in boxes, sized to the order. We do use branded packaging.

Once you open a bag, refrigerate it and eat it within 7–10 days. Resealable doesn't mean shelf-stable after opening.

Hot weather

Jerky handles heat better than nearly anything else you can ship β€” it's cured and dehydrated, which is the entire point of the format. It won't spoil in a warm truck.

That said, a box sitting in direct sun on a porch for two days in a 110Β°F August will lose quality. If your area is in a heat wave:

  • Ship to a work address, or somewhere with shade.
  • Add a signature requirement at checkout, if we offer it.
  • Bring it in the day it arrives.

Products that degrade in transit are on us. Product that degrades on your porch after a successful delivery isn't β€” see the Return & Refund Policy.

Tracking

You'll get two emails: a confirmation when you order, and a tracking number when it ships. Check spam if the second one doesn't arrive within 48 hours of ordering.

Tracking often lags reality. A number can take 24 hours to activate, and packages sometimes move faster than they scan. If tracking hasn't been updated in 2–3 business days, that's usually a missed scan rather than a lost package. If it hasn't moved in 7 business days, email us and we'll open a trace.

Changing an address

Email support@dynojerky.com immediately. If we haven't printed a label, we'll fix it for free. After a label prints, we usually can't β€” and once a package is in the carrier's hands, we have no ability to redirect it.

If the address you entered is undeliverable: if the package returns to us, we'll reship once you cover the second shipping charge, or refund the product price minus original shipping. If it doesn't come back, we can't replace it for free β€” see the Return & Refund Policy.

Please check the address at checkout. It's the most common avoidable problem we see, and autofill is often wrong about apartment numbers.

Split shipments

If part of your order is on backorder, we'll hold the order until it's complete. Large orders may arrive in multiple boxes with separate tracking numbers, on different days. If one box arrives and another doesn't within 3 business days, tell us.

Subscriptions

Subscription orders ship on your renewal date and follow the same processing and transit times as everything else. You'll get tracking each cycle.

Skip, pause, or reschedule from your account page at least 48 hours before the renewal date. Details in the Terms of Service.

Gift orders

Add a gift note at checkout and we'll include it on a card. We never include a packing slip with prices on any order, so any order can be sent as a gift.

Confirmation and tracking emails go to you, not the recipient β€” so if it's a surprise, it stays one. If something goes wrong with a gift, see the Return & Refund Policy for how refunds work when the buyer and recipient are different people.

Delays outside our control

Weather, carrier network problems, natural disasters, and peak-season volume all cause delays we can't prevent or accelerate. We'll help you chase a package and we'll always tell you what we actually know, but we don't issue refunds for shipping delays once a package is moving. Lost packages are a different matter and are covered in the Return & Refund Policy.

Wholesale and bulk

Orders in bulk or headed to a retail location ship under separate terms and rates. Email wholesale@dynojerky.com.
